What Happens in the Music Room
Each session follows a simple, supportive structure designed to create safety, momentum, and continuity:
1. Arrival & Check-in
We begin with a short round of sharing. Everyone names:
what they’ve been working on
what feels stuck or alive right now
what they want support with today
This helps us land and sets a shared tone.
2. Project Sharing
You can choose what you present:
a song or fragment
a demo or recording
a process question
or simply talk through where you’re at
Sharing is always optional. Listening is just as valuable.
3. Group Reflection & Feedback
Our feedback focuses on:
process, not polish
clarity, not comparison
encouragement, not fixing
We reflect back what we hear, notice patterns, and offer encouraging perspectives — always with respect for each person’s creative path.
4. Integration & Closing
We end by naming one small next step to take after the session — something realistic, doable, and fun.
Who This Is For
The Music Room is for you if you:
want to stay connected to your music regularly
feel isolated in your creative process
struggle with finishing or sharing work
are rebuilding a sustainable creative practice
want community without pressure
What the Music Room Is (and Isn’t)
✔ A space for consistency
✔ A room where unfinished work is welcome
✔ A collective container for accountability
✖ Not about being impressive
✖ Not about grinding or hustling
✖ Not about external validation
Why This Works
Why This Works
Stop doing it all by yourself
Creativity thrives in rhythm and relationship.
When we know we’ll meet again, share again, and be witnessed again, something shifts:
projects stop living only in our heads
momentum replaces procrastination
consistency becomes natural, not forced
The Music Room creates just enough structure to keep you moving — without being overwhelming.
FAQ
Do I need to be an advanced musician to join?
Nope! The Music Room is for any level. You don’t need to be “finished” or “professional.” What matters is that you’re showing up with your creative process, whether you’re writing, producing, or experimenting.
Do I need to perform or share my work?
Sharing is completely optional. You can listen, reflect, or simply take notes on what others share. The space is about support, not performance.
What if I don’t have anything ready to show?
That’s fine! You can share your process, ask questions, or talk through ideas and struggles. Sometimes just articulating what’s happening in your creative life is enough to spark momentum.
What kind of feedback can I expect?
Feedback focuses on process, clarity, and encouragement — not on judging your skills or “fixing” your work. The goal is to help you move forward, not critique you.
How often should I attend?
Consistency helps, but there’s no strict requirement. Some participants come every session; others drop in as needed. Even occasional attendance can keep your projects moving.
Do I need to use specific software or instruments?
No. The Music Room welcomes all creative approaches — performing, songwriting, recording, music production, arranging, composing — whatever you’re working on.
How long is each session?
Each session is 90 minutes and can be extended up to 120 minutes if necessary, giving everyone time to share, reflect, and integrate what comes up in the group.
Is there a limit on group size?
Yes. Groups are intentionally small to create safety, attention, and meaningful feedback.
What if I can’t attend live?
Live attendance is ideal for connection and accountability, we are not recording the sessions.
What is the price?
The Music Room runs on a 10€ contribution per session. This helps keep the space sustainable and intentional, while still being accessible for anyone who wants to participate. Of course you will receive a receipt.
How to prepare
-
Bring something to share
It can be a work-in-progress, an idea, or even a challenge you’re facing. Anything that reflects where you’re at in your creative process.
-
Set aside 120 min
Make sure you have uninterrupted time (minimum 90 minutes) so you can fully engage in listening, sharing, and reflecting.
-
Get your tools ready
Instrument, laptop, DAW, notebook, or recording demo—whatever you need to show or explain your work.
-
Bring curiosity
… not pressure. Come ready to give and receive feedback, explore ideas, and stay consistent without judging yourself or others.
